Location: Camp Pendleton, CA -- APPLY --
Purpose: This position supports the Marine Corps Tactical Systems Support Activity (MCTSSA) at Camp Pendleton, CA and deployed contingency operations. The System Operator will support MCTSSA's Tactical Systems Support program as well as the Marine Corps Operating Forces both on site working at MCTSSA at a help desk and off site. The work schedule is estimated to be six months' deployed OCONUS (Afghanistan), three months' deployed CONUS (on-site at Camp Pendleton), and three months' on-call OCONUS and CONUS (estimated to be only one-third of the time with the remaining being down time).


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and assistance in regard to installation of fielded C2 Systems (listed below); troubleshoot and reach issue resolution.
  • Understand systems administration and systems engineering in order to provide tactical communications network analysis and diagnostics.
  • Be able to provide maintenance, technical support and configuration management on the tactical systems (listed below).
  • Provide over-the-shoulder training to Marine Operating Forces.
