Power Ten, Inc. is pleased to announce the hiring of Col. Anthony (Tony) White (USMCR, Ret) as the company’s Director of Sales and Marketing for Micro Auto Gasification System (MAGS™). White’s arrival will help meet the demand of Power Ten, Inc.’s MAGS™ customers. Power Ten is the exclusive channel for the technology to the Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Government customers as the system continues to see growth in marine, healthcare, military and many other markets.
Announcing White’s new role, President and CEO Russ Emons stated, “We are very happy to have Tony on board. His experiences, both with the Marine Corps and in his previous civilian career, make him the perfect person to lead our efforts to bring MAGS to the DoD and Government market.”
Prior to joining Power Ten, Col. White’s previous assignment with the Marine Corps had him serving, as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence (G2), 3d Marine Division, he was the J2 (Forward) for JTF-505 Operation Pacific Passage as part of Operation Tomadachi during United States Armed Forces assistance support following Japan’s earthquake, tsunami disaster and nuclear crisis in March of 2011.
“I’m ecstatic to join the Power Ten team! I look forward to expanding adoption and use of MAGS within the US Government and Defense sector, as well as moving forward with the commercialization of this technology across several other markets. The recent field testing and rapid proto-typing that the MAGS appliance was put through, in late last 2012 and this past Spring with the Marine Corps, has allowed us to quickly develop a crucial piece of equipment for both expeditionary requirements and the commercial settings. MAGS capabilities will offer a safe, cost efficient and environmentally friendly waste to energy solution to a diverse customer base.”
During Col. White’s extensive active and reserve service, he has commanded four infantry organizations and served on staffs at the air group, battalion, regimental, force and joint levels, as well as at the national and strategic levels of government, as an infantry and Intelligence professional. Col. White is one of only a handful of USMC reservists who has been mobilized six individual times to support the active forces during Presidential Recalls and has served during Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Balkans War and the Global War on Terrorism. In the private sector, Col. White has served in sales and marketing management level positions within the medical device and equipment industry and as a Business Development Executive for a US Government/Defense Contractor.
He has attended the Joint Military Intelligence College at DIA, where he received a Post-Graduate Intelligence Certificate in Strategic Intelligence in 1997, and an undergraduate’s degree in Communication Arts from California Lutheran University.
His personal decorations include two Legion of Merit(s), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
MAGS™, developed by Terragon Environmental Technologies, Inc of Montreal, QC Canada is an appliance designed to breakdown waste at the point of origin in an environmentally sound manner, without the toxic emissions, while harvesting the waste energy and eliminating the transportation burden. A single MAGS destroys up to 100 pounds per hour of as-received waste and reduces the waste volume by more than 95%, exporting more than twice the energy it consumes in the form of hot water and air.
Originally intended as a commercial appliance to service displaced habitats, ships, resorts, hotels, and hospitals, MAGS™ has great application for military shore installations and Naval vessels. Additionally, MAGS™ is well suited for expeditionary use and will reduce the risks, emissions, and costs associated with deployed waste disposal. In one day, a single MAGS™ unit will treat the waste typically generated by up to 1000 personnel or more with multiple MAGS™ units, and the exported energy will reduce the bases overall energy demand. MAGS™ is a compact system that offers exceptional energy efficiency, good economics, clean emissions and requires only one operator.
Currently being used by the Marines with funding and support from the Office of Naval Research, this waste appliance is the answer to the challenges facing our military when it comes to clean and effective waste disposal, locally.
