Power Ten, Inc. Supports MCAA and the Flying Leatherneck Museum

Gen SchmidlePower Ten, Inc. was proud to be part of the Marine Corps Aviation Association; Marion E. Carl Squadron’s September 10, 2012 dinner honoring the members of the Marine Air Board and benefitting the Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum at MCAS Miramar in San Diego, CA.

The dinner raising more than $3,500 for the Flying Leatherneck Museum, featured a keynote address by Lieutenant General R. E Schimdle, Jr USMC Deputy Commandant for Aviation.

At the dinner, Gen. Schmidle addressed the topics of the progress being made on the F-35 and the future placement of the 121 in Yuma, AZ. Gen. Schmidle also praised the direction the V-22 is heading. Commenting on the authorization to move forward with finishing the purchase of the aircraft, as well as talks with Japan to allow flights to take place, General Schmidle, stated that progress is moving in the right direction.

Lieutenant General Robert E. Schmidle, Jr., USMC, serves as the Deputy Commandant for Aviation. As the Deputy Commandant for Aviation, he sets policy and facilitates the manning, training and equipping of Marine Aviation units. His command assignments include: Commanding General of First Marine Aircraft Wing, Commanding Officer of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force (Experimental), and Commanding Officer of Marine Fighter/Attack Squadrons 251 and 115. Previous operational assignments include multiple tours flying the F-4 and F/A-18 aircraft as well as serving as the operations officer and air officer of an Infantry Battalion, First Battalion 9th Marines.
